MonetizeDesk works with show owners and podcast networks and their production, hosting and revenue teams. The review starts with catalogue authority, distribution, existing sponsorships and the evidence your hosting setup can provide.
Identify the replaceable part of the episode
A dynamic podcast slot can receive an eligible creative before, within or after an episode through supported hosting and insertion. A natural transition in a long interview may support a mid-roll; a short update needs a different editorial decision.
A baked-in spot remains part of the episode file. A host-read describes how an ad is presented and can be baked in or delivered dynamically where the workflow supports it. Existing reads, exclusivity and contractual positions are mapped before new buying is proposed.
Supported dynamic audio insertion may choose creative when an eligible episode is delivered. It requires usable markers, owner authority, compatible hosting, creative rules and a buying path. An older episode's age does not create a sellable slot or demand by itself.
Prepare a first catalogue pilot or repair existing insertion
For a first activation, choose a defined episode group. Review viable positions, sponsor exclusions and hosting support, then establish the delivery and measurement method. Test marker coverage, creative quality and fallback before expanding.
For an earning catalogue, compare eligible requests and markers with paid insertions, house or fallback audio, reporting differences and net remittances. Missing markers in popular older episodes, direct-sold priority and a changing market mix can affect income differently.
For example, rising downloads with flat ad revenue may reflect a larger share of episodes without eligible markers. Raising the price does not repair that coverage gap. A limited test follows one diagnosed cause and its reporting limits.
Distinguish delivery from confirmed listening
An episode can be downloaded and played later. Server-side request or ad-delivery records do not by themselves prove that a listener heard or completed the ad. Client-confirmed playback, where available, is a separate evidence category.
For a video podcast, distinguish an RSS file delivery from viewing in an owned video player or on YouTube. The distribution and advertising controller determine the applicable measurement and selling route.
We document the hosting methodology, filtering of invalid or duplicate signals, insertion result and reporting unit. Compare net income per eligible episode delivery using consistent definitions, alongside listening-quality signals actually available. We do not multiply all downloads by an assumed advertising price.
The IAB Tech Lab measurement guidance explains why download, server-side ad delivery and client-confirmed exposure must be distinguished. We identify your provider's actual method; no measurement certification is claimed here.
What your team receives
Your team receives a catalogue-and-slot map, a delivery and income baseline and a prioritized activation or correction. The pilot plan specifies shows, episode groups, markers, sponsor protection, responsible producer and hosting teams, creative checks and reporting.
The result explains eligible paid delivery, retained income and available audience signals, with evidence gaps stated. We recommend keeping, revising, expanding or stopping the change. Your authorized team approves editorial and live configuration changes; implementation and ongoing work have separately agreed responsibilities and terms.
Streaming Audio covers a separately controlled listening stream. Owning the episode does not automatically give you advertising authority over the receiving app's interface.
