Audio & Radio

Make your audio advertising revenue accountable

Your station, listening service and podcast catalogue create different advertising opportunities. We help owners establish what they can sell, trace delivery and income, and test the next change without losing the listening experience.

Illustrative broadcast production, digital listening and podcast editing. Each context needs its own advertising allocation and delivery evidence.

MonetizeDesk works with station groups, digital listening services and podcast owners launching advertising or improving an existing operation. The review starts with the media you control, your current commercial arrangements and the decision your team needs to make.

Choose the operation you run

Broadcast Radio: scheduled commercials enter a station's traffic and playout workflow. An automated order may become a spot in a common transmission; it does not create a separate ad for each receiver.

Streaming Audio: eligible digital listening sessions can support an ad decision and insertion route. A station's internet simulcast has its own allocation and delivery review, even when its programme matches the broadcast.

Podcasts: owners control eligible catalogue positions through their hosting and distribution arrangements. A dynamically inserted spot, a baked-in sponsor read and a subsequently played download have different operating and reporting implications.

A single group can operate all three. We retain the separate allocations and measurement units before building a group-level view. Station audience estimates, stream playback and episode downloads cannot simply be added as one deduplicated listener count.

Match the placement to its delivery path

A broadcast spot follows booking, approval, scheduling and airing. A streaming break depends on an eligible entry or cue, supported insertion, continuity and reporting. A podcast slot needs a usable marker and an authorized hosting route.

A companion display is a separate visible placement controlled by the service. Audio playback with a locked phone does not establish that the companion was seen. Supported dynamic audio insertion can select creative for an eligible digital delivery; the supported environment determines the evidence available.

Launch advertising or improve existing income

Introducing advertising: choose one station break, stream moment or episode group. Establish the selling allocation, buyer and delivery path, creative rules and a limited pilot with suitable fallback and listener safeguards.

Already earning: trace available opportunities into accepted orders or decisions, actual airing or delivery and retained income. A spot missed in playout, an unplayed stream ad and an absent podcast marker need different corrections. Existing productive sponsors and partners remain in the baseline.

For example, a group may fill broadcast spots well while its online stream loses ads after the cue. More broadcast orders do not resolve the digital delivery failure. The first test follows the diagnosed gap.

What your team receives

Your team receives an ownership-and-delivery map, a baseline for each relevant operation and a prioritized launch or correction. The pilot plan assigns commercial, production, product and provider tasks and defines evidence, listener safeguards and the conditions for stopping or expanding.

The result explains what aired or was delivered, what the owner retained after relevant costs and which audience effects could be observed. Reporting limits remain explicit. We recommend keeping, revising, expanding or stopping the change; implementation, ongoing operations and portfolio work have separately agreed responsibilities and terms.

Frequently Asked Questions

Questions about audio & radio and how a monetization review can begin.

Can one group work across radio, streaming and podcasts?

Each operation is mapped separately before its findings are consolidated into an owner-level view.

Does automated radio buying mean personal receiver targeting?

A booked commercial can air in a common station transmission. Listener-level digital insertion is a separate workflow.

Does a stream start create a paid ad impression?

An eligible session, an ad decision and actual delivery are separate events that must be measured appropriately.

Can a podcast download prove an ad was heard?

Download and server-side delivery evidence do not, by themselves, establish confirmed playback or completion.

Does every audio ad create a companion impression?

A controlled visible placement must actually render and have its own reporting and commercial allocation.

Must we replace our existing sponsors or providers?

Productive arrangements remain in the baseline. The pilot targets a specific opportunity or loss.

What is the next decision after a pilot?

Review delivery, net owner income and available listener signals, then decide what to keep, revise, expand or stop.

What belongs in the first inquiry?

A broad description of the operation and issue. Detailed logs and access are requested through an agreed review process.
