FAST Channels

Make your FAST channel’s advertising share count

Understand the breaks your channel can sell on each destination. We help owners connect scheduled opportunities, actual playback and net receipts, then test the allocation or delivery gap worth fixing.

Illustrative channel ad pod; the owner’s sellable share and actual playback are established for each destination.

FAST is a free, ad-supported scheduled channel model. MonetizeDesk works with channel owners and their playout, distribution and revenue teams to review advertising across destinations. The channel's sellable share is established before viewing totals are used to assess the opportunity.

Map the feed and the destination allocation

The schedule and playout create break opportunities. The channel, distributor or another authorized party may control different portions under the commercial arrangement. We document the allocation and the route from break cue to ad decision, insertion, playback and reporting for each destination.

Eligible in-stream positions and ad pods sit within the owner's available breaks. A separately produced in-scene placement needs its own authorized production, transaction and verification path. Its income is kept distinct from conventional pod delivery.

A scheduled IP feed may use supported dynamic video insertion for eligible breaks. A regional broadcast feed or receiver-level replacement has a different delivery review. The destination and selling authority determine the route.

Launch a channel or improve an existing destination

For a first launch, establish the schedule, break cues, owner allocation and compatible advertising path on a defined destination. Agree fallback, reporting and a limited release before extending the operating plan.

For an existing channel, investigate absent or late cues, allocation errors, partly filled pods, fallback content and receipts that do not reconcile with playback. A destination with more viewing can still return less owner income if the channel's sellable share or paid delivery is smaller.

Existing productive distributors and sales arrangements remain in the comparison. The pilot targets a specific channel-and-destination gap rather than assuming another demand connection solves every loss.

Compare the same events across destinations

We align viewing hours, owner-controlled eligible seconds, decisions, filled and played time and net receipts using the evidence available. Filler or a non-paying replacement remains separate from paid ad delivery.

Playback continuity, reporting differences and technology or operating costs help explain net owner revenue. A commercial remittance, a scheduled break and a played ad are distinct records that need reconciliation under the actual agreement.

What your team receives

Your team receives a destination-allocation map, a delivery and income baseline, and a prioritized launch or correction. The pilot plan identifies the feed and destination, cue and pod configuration, responsible channel and provider teams, fallback and reporting.

The result explains the owner-controlled opportunity, paid playback, net contribution and viewing effects. We document limits and recommend keeping, refining, expanding or stopping the change. An operating rule can then be tested on another destination with its own allocation and integration.

Improve Existing Ad Revenue describes an established-setup review. CTV Apps and Broadcast & Linear TV cover related destinations and operations. Implementation and ongoing work have separately agreed responsibilities and costs.

Bring the feed and distribution context

Frequently Asked Questions

Questions about fast channels and how a monetization review can begin.

Do all destinations give us the same advertising share?

The allocation and reporting are established separately for each commercial arrangement.

Does more viewing necessarily mean more owner income?

Sellable share, successful delivery, actual demand and costs determine how viewing contributes to net receipts.

What is filler?

Content or a non-paying replacement used when a break has no suitable paid ad. It is reported separately from paid time.

Can another SSP be added to every destination?

Seller authority, technical integration and commercial terms must support the route at each destination. A defined pilot establishes the result.

Is every scheduled internet feed FAST?

FAST describes a free, ad-supported scheduled model. Other simulcasts may have different operating and advertising arrangements.

How do you compare distributor reports?

Align the definitions of owner-controlled opportunity, actual delivery, allocation, deductions and net income, then state any evidence gaps.
