VOD describes viewer-selected content; AVOD is an advertising-supported on-demand model. MonetizeDesk works with catalogue owners to assess advertising within their content, commercial and product rules. Browser, mobile and CTV viewing are destinations whose delivery can differ for the same title.
Design breaks around the content
Eligible pre-roll, mid-roll and post-roll positions follow title length, natural transitions and session behavior. A multi-ad pod needs a defined duration, sequence and return to the programme. A film-length break plan cannot simply be copied onto short episodes.
An app-controlled pause placement requires its own interface and delivery route. In-scene virtual advertising, including suitable film or series placements, requires separate authorization, production, buying and verification. Neither follows automatically from owning an on-demand catalogue.
Choose the first launch or the existing correction
Introducing AVOD: identify an eligible title group and viewing destination, set usable break markers and a modest initial ad load, and establish serving, reporting and fallback. The pilot evaluates the first income alongside continued viewing and the wider subscription or purchase proposition where relevant.
Already earning: examine missing markers, partly filled pods, repetitive ads, device playback failures and abandonment after breaks. A marker correction or shorter pod may be worth testing before increasing planned ad time. The owner decides using both economics and viewing evidence.
A supported dynamic video insertion path selects and delivers ads for the defined position. Creative choice can vary by permitted market information; playback and reporting still need verification for each affected destination.
Compare the hours and the actual delivery
We compare eligible viewing hours and available ad seconds with decisions, filled time, played ads and recognized income. Content groups, session types and devices keep a film, short episode and returning viewer from disappearing into one average.
Playback errors, continuation, repeat use and relevant subscription or purchase effects belong alongside net revenue per viewing hour. Planned ad seconds can remain unsold or fail to play; a longer schedule alone does not establish more earned income.
What your team receives
Your team receives a title-and-destination placement map, a delivery and viewing baseline, and a prioritized break or configuration change. The pilot plan defines the catalogue group, release scope, responsible programming and technical teams, fallback and viewer safeguards.
The result explains what played, its net contribution and the effect on viewing. Reporting gaps and comparison limits are documented. We recommend keeping, revising, expanding or stopping the change under your team's release approval.
Online Video Platforms covers the owned player; CTV Apps covers the television destination. A scheduled FAST channel has a different allocation and timing review. Implementation and ongoing operations have separately agreed scopes and costs.
